Ok, I thought we should have some guides for future RPers and future Storytellers. Here we go *epic music XD*
Here are the basic things that a RP should have:
Plot
Plot is the most imporant detail in a RP. You write what the RP is about and what happens on it. If you don't have a plot, the it's most likely that only a small amount of people would join.
Characters
Characters are the people/animals that are in the RP. There isn't such thing as a RP without characters. Try to list all the characters that will take place on the RP.
Details
You should add a lot of details on your posts to make the RP more interesting. Example:
''Simba had just woken up from his terrible nightmare about his father's death. It was his first day at the jungle where Timon and Pumbaa lived. He loved the place, it was filled with huge waterfalls, grassy places, full of trees and a lot of differently coloured bugs to eat. He took a walk into the beautiful jungle.''
Ok, and now to the things that you should not do:
Don't control other characters
Controlling other characters is wrong and it might upset someone. It's a very common mistake. Example: Zira walked close to Nuka and shouted at him. Nuka was terrified, he had forgotten to go get dinner. Zira walked into her private den.'' The underlined part is wrong. You should wait for the other character to reply.
Don't don't impossible things
A lion flying? A lion with the ability to teleport? There is no such thing in a normal RP. Don't do supernatural things on a RP, expect if the RP is about magic.
Don't kill characters
You can't kill other people's characters or even your own characters without the permission of the Storyteller (the member who started the RP).
Be your character
If you are gonna play a character from the movies, match his personality. Example: ''Nuka hugged his brother tight. He loved him more than anyone else in this world.'' This doesn't match Nuka's personality, Nuka's personality is: ''Nuka pushed the little termite away from him. He always hated him because he was gonna be the chosen one, until he was born.'' Always match your character's personality.
